What creates excitement?
Lead a brainstorming session with your students on excitement. Make a list of those things that your students think create excitement in general. [element of surprise; suspense; conflict; fast pace; etc.] Often when we speak of excitement we use the word ‘build’. Why do your students think excitement is something that builds? Can excitement build indefinitely? Why or why not? What are some ways your students can think of to sustain the building feeling over longer periods of time?
